MILKaholic...

It has been nearly a month since I last updated my blog. Life has been busy.

Today I, along with one of our friends hosted a shower for one of my best friends- Kendall Gunter. She will be a wonderful mommy to Emerson Adele Gunter next month. So exciting. She is going to be such a good mommy, and I can't wait to see this precious little girl. We had so much fun planning this shower for her. Those of you who know Kendall know that she loves details, and she can throw an AWESOME party/event/anything. She puts so much time into anything she does- so that is the least I could do for her. We have been planning this shower for about 2 months now, and if I say so myself, I think our hard work paid off. It was a laid back, fun little shower!
Here are a few pictures I captured between running around the house like a mad woman before it began. I had high hopes of getting more picture, and better pictures- but time didn't agree with that. So, this is what I got.....

Cheesecake shots... These were simple and a pretty presentation. They had a mini fudge stripe cookie in the bottom with cheesecake filling and crumbled oreos on top. Everyone seemed to like them!

Cookies sitting on an old scale

Traditional chocolate chip cookies

My lovely mother made these. They are so good- and of course, a Pampered Chef recipe!

Abby made these Oreo balls... they went with our black and white theme and were oh so good.

Some of the milk from our milk bar. We also had sweet Tea and Pink lemonade for those who don't like milk.

Table Display

Again.

Prob. one of my most favorite decorations. The onesie banner. I know it is done all the time, but it just added so much to my little den. The clothespins were a nice little touch too.

On the coffee table we had sweet Emerson's latest 3D ultrasound picture. The guest could write a note for Kendall and Danny to open when she is born. We also had the book "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie"... this was used like a guestbook. Everyone signed it. (Each person brought their favorite children's book to the shower today along with their gift).
You know the teacher in me loves the idea :)

Favors. Cookie Crisp in a mason jar...

The mantle. A few books- my two favorites "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and "Brown Bear, Brown Bear". We also framed the invitation to display.

Door decor. We took black foam board, cut it, and hot glued Cookie Crisp cereal to make her monogram.

Me with the perfect Mommy to be!

This shower was a lot of fun, and I love doing things for people. It can sometimes become overwhelming when everything else in life is busy, but it is always worth it... I wouldn't take anything for the memories made today with Kendall's closest friends and family around to shower this special little gal with gifts. and she got some cute ones!

Emerson, "Jame Jame" can't wait to meet you!
