Ramblings about Thankfulness

Happy Turkey Day Eve!

We have been pretty busy lately with school, work, family, and house situation. We spent last weekend in Charleston celebrating a special baby's birthday...

I can't believe Waker is already 1! Where has this past year gone? He had such a fun party that consisted of babies, family, and friends getting together outside and enjoying the awesome fall weather. It is always so good to see that little sweetie since it doesn't happen too often.

We came home on Sunday to start a short work week. This little Thanksgiving break was much needed! Between work and the house stuff going on, our heads have been spinning. Speaking of this-
I believe we can finally see the end of the long complicated tunnel. It looks like we will be closing on our house next Wednesday. I spent the day today packing up at the lake. I took everything off the walls and began packing up some little "sit arounds". There is still lots to do, and our house is a wreck right now- but I can handle it for one week. We have also been refinishing some furniture. We are working on a bakers rack right now that I am painting black. Tim is working on an antique armoir that has been stored for a long time. It is actually my dad's dad that built it. We are so excited to be able to use it in our home.

As of tomorrow- we will be going to Spartanburg to spend Thanksgiving with Tim's family, and then coming back to do Thanksgiving with my family. I love turkey day... it's a fun time filled with yummy food, family, and busting out the Christmas decor! By the way, I am about to explode wanting to decorate for Christmas. I have everything planned out of where it is going to go in our new house. I have joked and said that Tim will be fixing stuff in the house and I am going to be sneaking and decorating the Christmas tree, we shall see.

                                                            Ahhh... can't wait.

On this Thanksgiving Eve I am thinking about all we have to be thankful for this year. A roof over our head, a happy 5 months of marriage, a wonderful family, good health, and lots more. I make a point each day to be thankful for the many blessings we are given, so days like tomorrow are always extra special to me.

Hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving!
