Summer

This post title is disappointing to me- the end. I love summer... I love other seasons as well but I guess summer is a favorite because of the time off. I enjoy spending time laying out, swimming, fishing, lake days, and of course beach vacations with the family. Doesn't get much better than that- besides Christmas time when everyone is together again for celebrating the holidays. Once summer is over, I am ready for Christmas and vice versa.

So, being at the lake for the later part of the summer has been wonderful for us. I can honestly say we are getting very spoiled out here and I can't imagine not being able to sit on our screened in porch all the time while looking at the lake. Don't even wanna think about it. We have been sure to make the most of the time out here. We are loving having family and friends over for grilling and porch time! We spent the afternoon today in the lake on floats, which was rather humorous. Who knew Lake Greenwood could be a freaking wave pool/high tide at the ocean? When we weren't relaxing on a float, we were jumping off the pier like crazy people, followed by some late night fishing. SO MUCH FUN! I am going to miss these days..... but even more than that, I am going to miss the "free time" I have had. I don't feel like it has been much this summer with wedding planning, getting married, and getting settled in- but I wouldn't trade it for anything. It is now time to go back to school.. sigh. Don't get me wrong, I am excited about a new year with new sweeties- but there is nothing like late summer nights with not a care in the world. I'm getting depressed now writing this, so I'm going to go put some gel in my hair and sit on the porch, again. I may just stay up all night and sleep all morning tomorrow, only 1 more day of freedom with sleeping late... and those of you who know me, know that this is what I dread the most. Being in town at 7:10 coming from the lake? Wooooo.... don't know how that's gonna work out. We shall see.
